Face-to-face [f2f]The survey period of six months for this round is divided into two sub-rounds of three months` Equal number of sample villages and blocks were allotted for survey in each of these two sub-rounds. Each village/ block was surveyed during the sub-round period to which it was allotted. Because of the arduous field condition, this restriction not strictly enforced in Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and rural areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.The questionnaire consisted of 13 blocks as given below :
Block - 0 : descriptive identification of sample household
Block - 1 : identification of sample household
Block - 2 : particulars of field operations
Block - 3 : household characteristics
Block - 4 : demographic and migration particulars of members of household
Block - 5 : building and environment particulars
Block - 6 : particulars of the dwelling
Block - 7 : particulars of living facilities
Block - 8 : particulars of building construction for residential purpose
Block - 9 : particulars of dwelling/land owned elsewhere
Block - 10 : use of public distribution system(pds)
Block - 11 : some general particulars of slum dwellers
Block - 12 : remarks by investigator
Block - 13 : comments by supervisory officer(s)
